Today was all about airways. In the morning we had a lecture on the anatomy of the airway and then in the afternoon we had the opportunity to go to the cadaver lab and put it all together by seeing the real thing. We were shown the structures and vessels that we had just learned about and were also given the chance to try out different techniques used to secure an airway. We used bougies, light wands, glidescopes, and were shown how to perform a cricothyrotomy. We're getting excited for the OR!
