Capstone Presentations

Today is our last official day of class!!! Well, for all but three of us anyways. Our final exam is technically tomorrow, but 18 of us took it early. We just couldn't wait another day to say we are done, DONE with classes!!! Such exciting times!

This morning we all presented our capstone projects and posters that we have been SLAVING over ALL semester! Everyone did a great job and had interesting projects to present. Way to go everyone!

Adam, Amy, Kathryn, and Sue presented on colloid use in pediatrics. Dave was also in this group but is in Africa on a mission trip.

Kate, Lisa, and Meredith told us about warming devices used in the OR.
Drew, Carie, Jill, Alison, and Anne Marie discussed substance abuse.

Jaime, Lindsey, Anne, and Laura discussed the DNP in nurse anesthesia.

Bobby, LaShaunda, Matt, and Jim discussed ketamine use in chronic pain.
Somehow Amy got Adam to throw piles of money her way. Hmmmm...... Lovin it....

The newest, Master's prepared, soon to be CRNAs.......

Laura's so happy she just couldn't wait to get out of her skirt before doing her

traditional end of another semester heel kick!!!

After Party!

To celebrate our last class in nurse anesthesia school EVER, we went to 6th and Vine for dinner. We had quite a few laughs and a whole lot of realization that this journey is actually coming to an end. We've made it, we're now on the home stretch with 108 days left to go!

2011 Wellness Dinner

Carie Nunley put together the 2011 Wellness Dinner and enlisted the help of several of us classmates. Substance abuse amongst anesthesia providers was the topic discussed. We heard from two CRNAs who are recovering substance abusers. We all invited a friend or family member to attend the dinner with us as they are often the first to notice signs of abuse. It was a great evening, thanks for all your hard work Carie!!
