This weekend Anne, Carie & Laura ran in the 1st annual Boo's & Brew's 5K run. There was a small turnout, but still VERY fun! All runners were dressed up. Anne was a peep, Carie an 80's chick and Laura was a deviled egg. Neil came to hang out with Dizzy and Peaches during the run. Even Peaches was dressed up ~ she was a bumblebee. The run went from the ball park through downtown and up and down lots of steep hills!! Carie and Anne even finished 2nd and 3rd in the 20 year old females group, very impressive! Afterwards, they served mimosa's and beer as part of the Brews part of the Boo's and Brew's 5k. Good music and food and even a costume contest. What a great run ~ good music, food, brews & even a costume contest! Any takers for next year?

Pumpkin Carving!!
Jill had a fabulous idea and invited everyone over for some pumpkin carving fun. What a great night ~ Jill and Jason were amazing hosts. There was lots of yummy food and tons of good memories made with great friends. Bobby and LaRonna even came with their sweet new baby Eva! Turns out she can fit into a pumpkin and still look cute doing it. We carved lots of scary pumpkins and ended up with only a few injured fingers. Jill and Neil had two of the most impressive pumpkins, a witch's cauldron and the witch from Sleeping Beauty, Malificent. It was lots of fun, see for yourself...
Oh no Laura broke her knife, maybe next time she should try using a smaller one!

Mountain of Terror
We've made it a Halloween tradition, (two years in a row can classify as a tradition right?!) to go to a haunted woods, trail, just anything spooky together when Halloween rolls around. SO MUCH FUN! This year we decided to try out Mountain of Terror. Right as we are pulling into the parking lot, we suddenly got a lot more nervous. It may have been because Jill was reluctant to even pull into the parking lot at all because we were in the middle of nowhere where no one, seriously NO ONE, would hear us scream or possibly because it looked like a scene straight out of The Hills Have Eyes movie. Creepy!! We decided to be brave and when we got to the front of the line, they searched us with metal detectors. That in itself is a little scary, but then we all got a good laugh because our own sweet, little Jill was packin'! She had a knife!! Ok just a pocket knife, not a meat cleaver or anything, but it gave us all a good laugh. The Mountain of Terror was pretty scary when we were in the pitch black, narrow tunnels ~ Anne and Jaime might have screamed a time or two and Carie, she just laughed at them! This year Kathryn, didn't make it so Neil's plan to pick on Anne and have the actors yell her name backfired and they yelled out "Neeeeil" instead! We had a great time and hopefully next year the tradition will continue!

International Mission Trips
The first two students of our class to go on a mission trip, Lindsey and Adam, just left today for the Dominican Republic. We wish them luck and hope they have a safe and enlightening trip. We can't wait till they get back to hear all the details of how amazing it was. Pictures will be coming soon!

Dixie Classic Fair 2010
Tonight several of us went to the Dixie Classic Fair together for some good grease and good times. It was fun, we tried some greasy food, went thru the petting zoo, watched pig races and dogs chasing sheep. The only downer of the night, is that Amy didn't get her fried cheese curd she had wanted. Otherwise, good times!!
Hate that this pic is blurry!! These girls heard the music and couldn't help but get their boogie on. It was awesome!!!

This girl makes Carie look short.
The gotta try it fair food for 2010 ~ A Krispy Kreme Cheeseburger! That's right folks, it probably doesn't get any more artery clogging than this. It's a burger complete with cheese and bacon sandwiched between two deliciously glazed Krispy Kreme donuts.
Even though we know better....we just had to try it!! Hey, at least we split it. That makes it okay, right?!
So, the consensus was....it wasn't totally mouth watering delicous make you crave another, but it wasn't horrible either. We gave it a thumb's up.
Aim hadn't had enough grease yet, soooo.......

Pig Races!!! Besides the food, isn't this one of the better events at the fair?? We thought so!
Jaime's daughter Eliza was chosen from the crowd to be the cheerleader for pig #1 and guess what?? It won! So Eliza won a package of Oreo's (because that's what the pigs race for) and a sweet ol' poopin' pig chain. Doesn't get any classier than that! She was quite happy about the whole thing though.
