North Carolina Association of Nurse Anesthetist's Annual Meeting

This year the annual meeting was held in Wilmington. What a great location! It made for a great excuse for that beach vacation get away so many of us have been in desperate need of! Everone attended some of the presentations and Lindsey even gave a talk on the DNP during the student presentations portion of the conference. It was titled, "The Doctoral Degree: An Honest Look." Of course everyone made sometime for fun as well ~ there was dining out together at Nikki's Sushi and the always fun, College Bowl. Our program made it to the final two. Unfortunately, Western Carolina won, by only ONE point!! Way to go LaShaunda, Lindsey, Laura and Carie. Looks like everyone had a great time together!

Salem Lake Trail Run 10K

This past weekend while many of us were attending the NCANA annual meeting, several of us who stayed behind ran the Salem Lake Trail Run 10K. What a great run ~ beautiful surroundings to distract us from our pain and running it with good friends!! Plus, we had an awesome cheering section ~ David and Glen! We all finished right around the one hour mark which put all of us in the top 1/3 of finishers. Not bad, considering there were over 900 runners. Way to go girls!! Next up....a 1/2 marathon!

Just finished, WHEW we did it!! Bummer we missed getting Jill and Jason in the picture, they ran off pretty quick after the race. There's Kathryn, Anne, Rachel, Christi (Jim's wife) and Jaime. Way to go everyone, GREAT job!!
