Legislative Day 2010
Today we traveled to the NCANA luncheon where we met the NCANA lobbyists and the Government Relations Committee Director, Jimmy Kimball. We had a wonderful lunch and were clued in on how the lobbying process works. After lunch we walked down to the legislative offices and met with Senators, Representatives and Legislative Assistants. While we didn't have any pressing issues to discuss with them at this time, it was still a worthwhile day. We were enlightened on the lobbying process and about the importance of creating a voice for our future profession.

The last day of our 2nd semester!!
We can hardly believe it, we've made it to the end of another semester! Today we took our final exam and had our end of semester evaluations with Dr. Rieker and Courtney. Now for a little summer break before we all start hitting the books again gearing up for next semester, right gang? Hmmm, I wonder how many of us will stick to the goal of getting in some preemptive studying this summer?? Hopefully all of us! We've been told third semester is some of the hardest content of the whole program!! First, we have to focus on a much needed break and having some fun with friends and family...
...here we are starting our summer break off right with a celebratory lunch at the First Street Draught House. What a great time!!

Interscalene block on Laura anyone?? You won't mind, right Laura? From the looks of the landmarks in this picture, it should be pretty easy to find!!

Mother's Day 2010
Is this sad or what??? This is the only picture I took from my Mother's Day celebration! I should have a sweet picture of me and my three, beautiful children, but instead I ended up with a picture of the delicious cake they bought me. Well at least it was a REALLY good cake! I have the sweetest family ever, they made me breakfast and a delicious dinner of honey lime chicken enchiladas, gave me sweet cards and pictures, and a plant. I just love how sweet and thoughtful this happy little family is to each other. After dinner, we ate the delish cake they bought. They chose the variety cake so there would something for everyone. There was coconut, red velvet, chocolate fudge, and german chocolate sections. In the end I think we all liked the red velvet the best. I had a wonderful day just spending some good quality time with my amazing family. I love you all sooo much!! Thank you for a perfect Mother's Day together!
